Saints 'Keeper Shaun Hutchison was the hero of the day as he saved 5 penalties against Wigtown & Bladnoch.

Saints started brightly and Adam Johnstone was unlucky to see his header hit off the crossbar. Wigtown took the lead on 42 minutes when Ross McCrindle scored with a diving header.

After the break both sides found the pitch tough going and on 75minutes Paul McClymont found space in the box and his shot hit the crossbar and bounce over the line. On 83 minutes Wigtown were awarded a penalty after a foul from Gary King. Alan McClymont got a red card in the afters of the penalty being awarded. Wigtown Striker Ross McCrindle stepped up to hit the penalty only to see his effort saved by Hutchison. Second's after the re start of play Gary King saw red as well.

The match was decided on penalties as poor light stopped Extra Time.

Saints 'Keeper Shaun Hutchison saved all 4 of the Wigtown penalties whilst new signing Gary Redpath and Jack Nixon converted theirs to give Saints the win.
