Saints overcame an improved Fleet Star today with a 5-1 victory at Garries Park.

Craig Rudd nearly came close to scoring after 10 minutes when his header hit the upright after 10 minutes. Rudd then nearly scored but his shot was just wide of the target. It wasnt until on the stroke of half time that Saints broke the deadlock when Paul McClymont was played in on goal and he fired passed Star's Keeper Cathro.

Fleet Star got their equaliser 5 minutes into the second half when Andy Gilston pounced on a loose ball in the box. On 65 minutes Raymond Gordon's corner found the head of Craig Rudd who powered the ball into the back of the net. It didnt take long for Saints to make it 3-1, Stevie Brown's cross found Gary Redpath at the back post who headed in his 7th of the season. Three minutes later Craig Rudd got his second of the match when he fired past Cathro on 75 minutes. Rudd completed his hat trick on 85 minutes when he went round the Keeper to put in his 15th goal of the season.
